As the elders of our community and the voters who have experienced so many changes in our lifetimes, seniors should be a leading voice in our world. Older adults are the people who show up at the polls more than any other age group. In Haywood County, more and more voters fall into that demographic.

It was two Democratic Presidents, Roosevelt and Johnson, that removed Older Americans from spending their senior years in poverty and secured their future. As a result, the Democratic party has always been concerned with Older Americans in terms of their needs and concerns.

• Join us in promoting the ideals of the party, and in supporting the election of Democratic candidates.
• Help us create a future for your children and grandchildren that supports families, protects personal freedom, promotes inclusivity and compassion, and protects our democracy.
• Become a part of a community of like-minded fellow Democrats working towards building a nation, a state, and a locality that responds to the needs of its citizens.
• Join the Haywood County Senior Democrats. By joining our group, we become a force for advocating for Older Americans in Haywood County.
• Meet us on the last Monday of each month at 1:00 pm at Haywood Democratic Headquarters.

Executive Committee meeting regular date is the second Monday of the month at 6:30 pm at Headquarters. All Haywood County Democrats are invited to attend, however only members of the Executive Committee may vote.
